Most walls draw a hard line between one space and the next. Smooth + Holes does something rarer - it separates without sealing off. A precise grid of openings turns a solid concrete panel into a screen, carrying daylight, glimpses and air from one side to the other. Structure and openness in a single surface.

The openings turn a wall into something a solid wall can never be - a divider that still connects. Smooth + Holes separates a kitchen from a hallway, a stair from a lounge, without sealing one off from the other. Light, sightlines and air keep moving; only the function of the space changes.
Yes. The grid is engineered, not cut at random - each opening is positioned so the fiber-mesh-reinforced concrete keeps its strength across the full panel. You get the openness of a screen with the solidity and permanence of real cast concrete.
This is where the panel earns its place. As the sun moves, the openings project a grid of light and shadow that travels across the floor and nearby walls through the day. At noon it is crisp and graphic; at golden hour it stretches long and warm. The wall effectively performs with the daylight.
Partially - and that is the intent. The perforation gives filtered visibility: enough to sense movement, depth and light on the other side, not enough to fully expose it. It is privacy and connection at the same time, tuned by how the panels are lit from each side.
Room dividers, stair screens, entryway partitions, feature walls that need to feel lighter than solid concrete, and commercial spaces where zones must read as separate without being closed. It is most striking wherever there is daylight or directional lighting to drive through the openings.
Each panel is 2 ft x 4 ft (610 x 1220 mm) at 3/8 in (10 mm) thick, installed like a large-format tile onto a prepared substrate. Yes - real concrete reinforced with fiber mesh, carrying a Class A fire rating up to 2 hours, with documentation provided per order. And we recommend sampling it: the play of light through the openings is hard to picture on a screen.
